Ben Stone

Friend / Professional Mentor

Ben Stone joined Friends of the Children because he believes every young person deserves at least one adult who will never give up on them. His background spans professional counseling work and therapeutic residential care, both focused on helping youth overcome adversity and develop confidence, trust, and self-worth. With training in trauma-informed care and a calm, steady approach, Ben strives to create consistent, supportive relationships that help children build resilience and hope for the future.

Ben earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Montana and has devoted his career to empowering youth and families through mentorship, counseling, and community-based programs. Deeply committed to the mission of Friends of the Children, Ben views this work as more than a job—it’s a lifelong calling to stand beside young people, nurture their potential, and help strengthen the communities that surround them.
