An Oregon resident since 1990, Chris moved to Central Oregon 20 years ago. It seems that Chris partially failed in his recent retirement and is currently consulting in the hospitality industry on some interesting projects. Prior to retirement, Chris spent 11 years as a Director of Development at the University of Oregon and prior to that had a 27-year career in hospitality. Chris and his wife have three adult children and are very proud of how they have launched their adult lives.
Chris has served on many boards in the past including chair roles at the Oregon Lodging Association, Oregon Duck Club, Eugene Executives Association and now at Friends of the Children Central Oregon. Helping in the communities where they live is a core value for Chris and his wife. They are currently active with the Bend Food Project, Family Kitchen, Bend Guys for Good and Friends of the Children. The engagement in serving children is partly a result of his wife Elena's 30+ year career in Montessori Preschool Classrooms.
